Cubicleland is running a little behind schedule. So in the meanwhile here are a few things that I think are cool:
Vortex 2 by William Cardini: I picked up Vortex 1 as soon as it came out and I can’t wait to get a copy of the latest edition. Cardini’s comics are full of psychedelic shamanistic wizardry commanded by an incredible line and tessellating patterns. Get it here. Also be sure to read a bunch of other awesome Cardini tales on his website: http://www.hypercastle.com
Anyone for Rhubarb? by Christian Henry: The Rhubarb is the consistentliest funniestest comic on the web that I know of. Christian has a unique style, and an awesome color palette. The comic recently expanded from one-panel gags to extended strips and I have to say the change is a welcome one, particularly due to his impeccable sense of comedic timing. It took me a minute to really zero in on Henry’s brand of humor, but once it clicked – I was all in. Equally as entertaining as the comic itself is Christian’s accompanying comments to each episode. Read one of my favoritest strips here.
I want this shirt made by fellow comicsman Jason Poland, who does the awesome and fun comic Robbie & Bobby.
Everything else in comics is going on and there’s too much of it, like for example this beautiful and crazy deep comic Aquapunk by Lo Baker. I increasingly love the colors on this comic and the depth of the world Lo has created.
And… and.. and… I need to get back to drawing… check out these blogs too.
P S: If you’re on tumblr, so am I.
