I have a 6 page color comic in this anthology that is available for pre-order via Kickstarter:

MEMORY is an anthology of comics based on the theme of human memory and featuring the work of over 40 independent artists from 8 countries – curated by Jeremy Baum. It has already reached it’s Kickstarter goal, but we could still use your support:

Memory Comics Anthology on Kickstarter.com

Here is a preview of my comic from MEMORY:

…

I was also recently included in another anthology called Catch-Up. Catch-Up is a journal of comics and literature – I have 4 black and white pages in the latest issue #3.

The comics section is curated by Mark P. Hensel (the human counterpart of William Cardini), Josh Burggraf (the human counterpart of Josh Burggraf), and PB Kain. Here is the first page of my piece, Perception:

There is a lot of talented work in this book, get it here:

Catch-Up, Volume 1, Issue 3

…

Now that Escape from Cubicleland is finished, I am trying to figure out how I am going to get it printed so I can place it in the 3D world. I have been working on a cover for the printed version, here’s a sneak:

I will let you know more about the printed version of Escape from Cubicleland! as soon as I do.

…

Waaaaaaaay back in October 2012 I created a 36 page minicomic called The Path of the Ten Thousand Fireflowers. I made it to take with me to the Alternative Press Expo in San Francisco CA, and it was a follow-up to my February 2012 minicomic Underwater Crystal Zone. I haven’t had a chance to reprint it since APE, which is a shame because I feel like it’s some of my best work. I’m currently working on adding some greyscale tones and getting it reprinted in a decent fashion. It’s taking a while because my computer crashed and the 1 GB memory PC I’m currently using can’t really handle the files. Anyhow, here’s kinda how it’s looking so far:

…

Now I just wanna give props to a couple comics I’ve picked up recently that I’m really enjoying.

William Cardini’s Vortex 3: Cardini’s comics are pretty trippy visually and conceptually. I feel like this issue really turns up the heat on both. The sequences are paced dynamically, the drawings and patterns are intense, and the story is right up my alley. I can’t even share my favorite pages because I want you to see them for yourself for the first time when you read the book. So here are my second favorite pages:

I am really excited to read the next issue of Vortex after the cliffhanger ending of this issue. Get this comic, or all three if you need to, from William Cardini’s store over at hypercastle.com. Highly recommended by me.

SF #2 by Ryan Cecil Smith: The first comics I obtained from Ryan were the now-legendary risographed minis SFSF #2 A B & C. I recently picked up SFSF #1, as well as SF #1 and SF #2 (this is fun isn’t it?). SF #1 was great, SF #2 is greater. RCS draws a bunch of cool sci-fi (sf) scenes and I was really impressed with some of the space furnishing and scenery function he packed into this book. Here’s an example:

The whole comic is full of shots like this. I also have to point out that Ryan sends you stuff in secret files, and includes cool little invoices and thank you notes on SF stationary – which I think is pretty neat. If I were you I would be getting this guy’s comics.

Get SF #1, SFSF #1, SFSF #2 A B & C, SF #3, and more from Ryan Cecil Smith’s website
